Images from the Borderlands
Kentelki Gábor’s painting unfolds at the threshold where representation and abstraction dissolve into one another. His works capture a constantly shifting state in which vision and sensation coexist.
His gestural painterly language carries physical intensity, instinct, and a trust in chance. Cracks, drips, and material transformations on the surface record the force of the process.
The compositions are dynamic and multidirectional, evoking patterns of growth found in nature. The surfaces operate as pareidolic fields where impressions of landscape, depth, and horizon emerge through perception.
Painting appears here as an open field in which vision and perception become both uncertain and intensely present.
