Tell us about Kulterra.
Kulterra is a contemporary art gallery based in Bucharest focused on hosting exhibition and educational projects in Romania and abroad. Kulterra is not only sells contemporary art, but also works with artists, strategically developing their careers. Gallery works with both young and established artists, representing main trends of Western and Eastern contemporary art. The gallery regularly opens new exhibitions, actively implements projects in partners’ spaces (including public museums, private organizations, charity foundations), and represents its artists at international art fairs. Kulterra Gallery is a new contemporary art gallery in Bucharest. The key direction of its practice is the acquaintance of professional and wide audience with works of young and established Romanian artists. Primarily the gallery aims to support the development of young Romanian art: artists who are at the beginning of their careers. The gallery carries out both personal and group curatorial projects in order to support young curators. The gallery strongly believes that young curators are those specialists who change the environment and take artists to a higher professional level. Among our goals is the formation of a new generation of collectors, with whom the gallery plans long-term and fruitful cooperation.
