The exhibition brings together artists whose practices explore different ways of negotiating time and the forms of expression. The antagonism suggested by the title indicates a state of tension arising between rational systems through which we try to organize and understand the world, and the persistent need for meaning, belief, imagination, or intuitive forms of knowledge. Our ways of narrating the present have become increasingly standardized, accelerated, and polarized, leaving little room for ambiguity, reflection, or sensibility. Perhaps the artistic gesture can be seen as a proposal for negotiation between what can be explained and what remains open, unstable, or impossible to fully fix. In a context dominated by instant reactions and the constant need for positioning, where anything not immediately understood risks being dismissed, overdetermined through projections and excessive definitions, the figure of "magic antagonism" becomes any presence that resists complete understanding: nature, the other, or one's own self, onto which we simultaneously project fascination, fear, or the need to make sense.

Tell us about Fundatia Cosman.

One of the missions of the foundation is to sort, organize and classify documents, photographs and works of art that make up the Cosman family archives in order to create a catalogue raisonné of the work of the artist Octavian Cosman, as well as to make these documents available to researchers who wish to study the artist's work in historical, artistic and socio-cultural context.
