On October 10th, between 6 PM and 9 PM, we are organizing an open studio at artouching. On this occasion, you will discover paintings and have the opportunity to interact directly with Livia Mateiaș. You will learn more about her art and how her creations come to life. Livia Mateiaș is a visual artist, a free and creative spirit. She is the co-founder of artouching (2014) and of DIGITAL:CANVAS platform (2018). She uses various forms of artistic expression such as graphics, painting, digital art, installation, and performance, easily adapting her technique to convey the idea. She participates in exhibitions and artist residencies both in Romania and abroad. Over time, she has held more than 250 creative workshops for different beneficiaries (adults, young people, children, seniors, and vulnerable people). She is a cheerful and optimistic person who explores the cosmic infinity through art. artouching (www.artouching.com) is an art and design studio from Timisoara, Romania, created by Livia Mateiaș and Marius Jurca. Tell us about artouching.

artouching is an art and design studio from Timisoara, Romania, created by Livia Mateiaș and Marius Jurca. Its main objective is to create "Heartouching" experiences, more precisely experiences that touch the heart and soul of the participants. We use art and design as forms of expression to bring value to people, products and society. artouching creations are unique, ranging from painting to digital art, new media installations, and design. Within the studio, we’ve also created the DIGITAL:CANVAS\ platform to promote digital art.

What do you have upcoming?

At artouching, we are currently in the process of finalizing the Fluid 2.0 project, which we implemented as part of the Legacy Timișoara 2023 program. On October 12th, we are preparing the Fluid 2.0 / Motion Data event (link: https://fb.me/e/5Dt21FYY9 ). This is the project’s final exhibition. On this occasion, we present the result of the interaction between art and sport. Motion Data started from the idea of converting the movement of children and the ball into something aesthetic, using data captured from basketball workshop exercises. As part of the Fluid 2.0 project, we organized numerous events, including two basketball workshops guided by Adina Stoiedin. These became the source for the artistic creation generated by 13m10j in collaboration with Szlupek (programming). This event celebrates the creative flow between different fields, and we invite you to join us to discover the artistic visualizations created by 13m10j and learn more about the Fluid 2.0 project.
